The Spur Ventures is an innovation hub and venture lab at the Department of Biological Systems Engineering at University of Nebraska–Lincoln, dedicated to accelerating innovation in agriculture and climate. Spur brings together startups, producers, researchers, industry partners and investors to accelerate impactful technologies.
***The Spur Ag Converge*** is the inaugural gathering of the Spur Ventures designed to convene agricultural innovators, farmers, agronomists, extension experts, industry experts and researchers at the heart of Nebraska's production landscape. This fall, we’re hosting this immersive event to showcase cutting-edge agtech solutions developed through our startup-university collaboration program and more importantly, to break the silos that often separate innovation from its end users- growers.
At this pivotal event, we will also officially launch *The Spur*, celebrating its mission and partnerships that empower ag innovation from the ground up.
Too often, innovation in agriculture happens without the voice of the farmers in the room. The Spur Ag Converge flips that script- bringing tech creators to the field, encouraging mutual understanding and trust, and ensuring that research, corporate innovation and entrepreneurship deliver real impact to those working the land.
