2023 Nebraska Bluegrass concert series returns to Innovation Campus

Nebraska Innovation Campus has partnered with local organizations to offer and host the Nebraska Bluegrass Concert Series for a second year. The live music concert series is free and open to the public and will feature local bluegrass bands opening for nationally recognized bluegrass bands from the Ozark Mountains to the Appalachian regions of the United States. The concerts will take place in the plaza at Nebraska Innovation Campus on September 6, 13 and 20.

Kate Engel has been named interim executive director of the Nebraska Innovation Campus Development Corporation, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation owned by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents.

NSAA High School State Basketball

NSAA High School State Basketball has returned to Lincoln! Games are being played at the Bob Devaney Sports Center March 1-3 (Girls) and March 8-10 (Boys). On game days, NIC Partners and those visiting NIC are asked to enter and exit campus using Gate 2 or 4.

Basketball game attendees are asked to enter and exit using Gate 1 (the west entrance at the corner of Antelope Valley Parkway and Transformation Drive.

Duncan retirement reception is Mar. 27

A retirement reception for Daniel J. Duncan, Nebraska Innovation Campus executive director, is scheduled from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Mar. 27 at the Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center.

The event is free and open to the public. Remarks are scheduled for 4:15 p.m.

Innovation Studio has helped more than 220 veterans

Three afternoons a week, a group of veterans meets at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Nebraska Innovation Studio as part of a therapeutic program that provides an outlet for their creativity, a space for camaraderie, and helps them develop a renewed sense of purpose.

NIC to offer public tours and partner showcase on November 9

November 2022 marks 10 years since Nebraska Innovation Campus’ groundbreaking. In that time, the campus has grown to include office space, a makerspace, a conference center, a local coffee shop, a hotel, lab space, pilot plant space and greenhouse space. The campus is celebrating 10 years of impactful partnerships, collaborations and developments by hosting public tours and a campus partners showcase on Nov. 9.
