Beavercreek Marketing experiences accelerated growth as NIC Partner

For Beavercreek Marketing, an additional office at Nebraska Innovation Campus did more than add a second location – it accelerated the company’s growth in ways its leaders never expected.

Beavercreek Marketing was founded in Grand Island, Neb., in 1981. In its infancy, Beavercreek worked with a variety of industries, such as general print, promotional advertising, and even political campaigns. But after experiencing much success working for the financial sector, Beavercreek began operating exclusively as a content marketing company for Fiserv electronic banking solutions.

Today, Beavercreek Marketing serves 3,000+ Fiserv financial institutions and has around fifty employees. One of these employees, Jared Brosius, is spearheading an expansion from Grand Island to Lincoln’s own Nebraska Innovation Campus (NIC).

On April 1, 2025, Brosius and his team moved into Innovation Campus’ Innovation Advancement Suites, interim office for them while they look for a more permanent space on Nebraska Innovation Campus.

“We’re like a startup inside of an established company,” said Brosius. “We’re definitely in startup mode here on NIC.”

That entrepreneurial spirit makes Beavercreek a natural fit for Nebraska Innovation Campus. As a company, Beavercreek specializes in marketing solutions for financial institutions, particularly those using Fiserv products. Beavercreek provides a variety of services, including product videos, financial literacy content, interactive demos, digital distribution tools, product launches, and print and digital design services.

One example is MoneyiQ, which provides a library of educational content covering topics such as financial well-being, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention. While some of Beavercreek’s services are designed specifically around Fiserv products, MoneyiQ is intended to provide more holistic financial educational content to the consumers and small businesses of the clients it serves.

Beavercreek also produces product videos and interactive demos that are used to show a financial institution’s electronic banking services in action – walking users through step-by-step processes such as paying bills or managing accounts. These videos serve as onboarding tools, staff education, and promotional content, helping institutions drive adoption of their digital banking platforms.

Beavercreek also develops marketing campaigns for product launches, providing ready-to-use content ranging from social media graphics and posters to table tents and other promotional materials. Supporting those efforts is the company’s full print and design team based in Grand Island. Beavercreek is made up of a variety of teams such as the Print and Design team, including the OEC team, the Video Production team, and the Distribution Tools team.

The team housed on Nebraska Innovation Campus is the Digital Distribution Tools team, led by Brosius. Digital Distributions is primarily made up of University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) student interns, and they are currently developing a suite of tools, including a social media dashboard, analytics dashboard, email system, video rendering and branding system, web animation tools, and a blog platform.

“But we’re not just getting an intern out of this,” said Brosius. “There’s a whole bucket of perks that we’re getting by affiliating with Nebraska Innovation Campus.”

Right away, Nebraska Innovation Campus and the university ecosystem benefited Beavercreek’s Digital Distribution team. Being located on Innovation Campus naturally introduced Brosius to Kate Engel, the Executive Director of Nebraska Innovation Campus Development Corporation.

“Normally I would have had to do some deep diving to figure out who does what, but all I had to do was ask Kate and she threw me several contacts. One led to the other, to the next, to the next, and it just put our plans on hyperdrive.”

Through Engel and NIC, Brosius connected with various individuals and departments across the University of Nebraska ecosystem, including Industry Relations, Career Services, the College of Engineering/Computer Science, the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, and the College of Business.

Brosius even got to meet the deans of a few colleges and has been asked to mentor different programs. In the last year, he’s been asked to speak at events, attend info sessions, and even sponsor projects – all with return to Beavercreek. With all these new connections come new opportunities for collaboration.

“NIC gave us an affiliation. Suddenly, we’re not just some random business. That really helped validate us, because most people had never heard of us before. And that’s such a huge jumping off point for a smaller company, to all of a sudden get so much visibility and reinforcement… Now, people know my name and they know Beavercreek’s name – despite our being a new partner and temporarily housed in the Innovation Advancement Suites – and that’s a huge win.”

Beavercreek’s Innovation Campus location has also helped bolster the hiring process. Prior to NIC, Brosius and Beavercreek often struggled to get a substantial number of applications for a given intern position. But after adding an NIC office to their job description, suddenly they had forty to sixty quality applications for just one role.

This increase in applications has helped Beavercreek build a strong student team. According to Brosius, students are excited by the company’s involvement across the university and the visibility that comes with being located at Nebraska Innovation Campus. “Our interns really want to give their all for this company, which is not something that people always do. It could just be a nine to five, but that is not the mentality these student interns have at all. They have ownership of their project, they understand that what they’re building is going to real people, and they understand that there’s going to be a return on value. And that seems to light a fire under them.”

Beyond recruitment, Beavercreek’s involvement with Innovation Campus has helped them generate more content and make more impressions. Beavercreek’s NIC team is able to reach new audiences and establish connections that would have otherwise taken years to develop.

In 2025, Beavercreek received a $5,000 EPSCoR NESTIP Grant, designed to encourage paid internships for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM fields. That funding supported a summer internship which then turned into a full-time conversion for the Digital Distribution Tools team.

The Lincoln Beavercreek team also regularly attends various Nebraska Innovation Campus events, such as lunch-and-learn sessions, intern networking events, and partner gatherings. These additional opportunities have allowed Beavercreek to connect with fellow innovators, researchers, and business leaders. For Beavercreek, the greatest value of Innovation Campus has come from actively engaging with these opportunities rather than simply occupying a space on campus.

“There are inherent perks from being a NIC partner, but the real benefit comes from being involved in the university on top of that – going the extra mile,” said Brosius.

Sometimes, the biggest return on an expansion isn’t measured in square footage. That philosophy has shaped Beavercreek’s approach from the beginning. By building relationships across colleges, participating in various events, and supporting student programs, Beavercreek has unlocked opportunities far beyond recruiting interns and opening up additional square footage.

“At NIC, you get what you give,” said Brosius, “You can become a partner, and you can sit on that partnership – but there are so many opportunities to get involved, and that involvement has so much return for your business. Don’t take the easy road. Really utilize those connections and take advantage of what Nebraska Innovation Campus has to offer, and then you’ll begin to grow the way you can here.”
