This two-day workshop will provide tools for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to start their own business. It will cover topics including idea validation, entity formation and funding a startup. Local business founders will discuss their entrepreneurial journeys, and guest speakers will share resources about intellectual property protection, business accelerator programs, grants and other support programs. There also will be opportunities to network with other campus innovators and experts from the Nebraska startup ecosystem.
Audience: This workshop is open to all university of Nebraska faculty, staff, postdocs, students, and community partners as well. The workshop will be especially helpful for startups based on university intellectual property (IP). However, you do not need to have a current startup idea or IP to attend.
