ENHANCE Health Network names Bob Hellem as Chief Shared Services Officer

Lincoln, Nebraska, January 22, 2016 – ENHANCE Health Network today announced that Bob Hellem has been named Chief Shared Services Officer.  Hellem will be responsible for identifying and working to take advantage of a wide-range of opportunities that would assist ENHANCE member organizations in lowering their costs of care delivery primarily in the supply chain, materials management and purchasing/procurement arenas.

Bob brings to ENHANCE decades of cutting edge experience and an unparalleled expertise.  His contributions to ENHANCE will facilitate the acceleration of our member capabilities in improving the quality of care, while lowering the cost of health care in their communities.”

 Previously, Bob held the position of Vice President of Procurement for ConAgra Foods, Inc., one of North America's largest packaged food companies with branded and private label food found in 99 percent of America’s households, as well as a strong commercial foods business serving restaurants and foodservice operations globally. Hellem has held various roles in Supply Chain including over 25 years of Procurement experience in a variety of industries including Pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and Novartis.

 Mr. Hellem assumed his new duties on January 11th.  The offices of the ENHANCE Health Network are located on the Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska.

ENHANCE Health Network, formally the Regional Provider Network (RPN), was established as an alliance of 66 independent hospitals and healthcare systems in Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska in response to the changing healthcare environment and in preparation for a transition to value-based care. Founded in December 2013 by nine independent Nebraska-based hospitals and healthcare systems, the mission of the organization is to enhance health in our communities by facilitating high-quality, affordable care, through education, innovation and collaboration. ENHANCE Health Network supports local autonomy and independence of our member organizations while collaborating with independent providers who choose to work together.
